Through its membership in the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and National Network to End Domestic Violence and association with a host of national organizations and resources, ODVN has access to cutting-edge research and advances in the field. ODVN distributes these best practices and ideas to its constituencies through a variety of services.


Training
ODVN offers an extensive training program on topics such as improving the medical responses to domestic violence, domestic violence in the workplace, a new advocate training institute, and others. Each year allied professionals are invited to attend a variety of job-specific workshops designed to improve their response to domestic violence victims and perpetrators. Technical Assistance
ODVN offers on-site and telephone consultation to domestic violence service providers and allied professionals. In addition, ODVN assists communities in developing coordinated community responses to domestic violence and sponsors issue specific networking caucuses, such as legal advocacy and women of color.

Child Advocacy Caucus
ODVN’s Child Advocacy Caucus is a collaboration of professionals dedicated to being a voice for children impacted by domestic violence. We endeavor to honor children’s experiences of violence and support their rights by fostering public awareness, improving services, and advocating for social and political change. Legal Advocacy Caucus
The Ohio Domestic Violence Network’s four Legal Advocacy Caucuses are the primary vehicle through which legal advocates from ODVN membership programs work together on a state-wide level. These caucuses provide a forum to develop goals and model policies to govern our work and to refine our understanding of the role of justice system advocacy. Women of Color Caucus
