Highlights from The Institute on Domestic Violence in the African American Community’s (IDVAAC) 2007 Annual Conference entitled- Mobilizing to End Domestic Violence in the African American Community: A Contract for Change.

This national conference was sponsored in partnership with the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women and drew over 600 attendees from all regions of the country, who represented individuals from diverse professions and interests, including domestic violence advocates, social workers, victims, law enforcement, officers, judges, clergy and faith leaders, community activists, researchers, students, youth workers, child welfare workers, sexual assault advocates, and civil rights leaders.
