The Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVN) is a statewide coalition of domestic violence programs, supportive agencies and concerned individuals organizing to ensure the elimination of domestic violence by: providing technical assistance, resources, information and training to all who address or are affected by domestic violence; and promoting social and systems change through public policy, public awareness and education initiatives.

The Ohio Domestic Violence Network was founded in 1988 by a coalition of programs in Ohio, which serve battered women and their children. The Network organized out of the need to provide coordinated services to improve public understanding of domestic violence. In 1989 the Ohio Domestic Violence Network was incorporated as a nonprofit membership organization.

As the state’s largest and most comprehensive resource on domestic violence, the Ohio Domestic Violence Network regularly provides information to and links between key stakeholders linked below:

  • Increasing Safety for Ohio Families

The Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVN) was founded in 1988 by a coalition of programs in Ohio serving battered women and their children. The network organized out of a need to provide coordinated services to improve public understanding of domestic violence. In 1989, the ODVN was incorporated as a nonprofit membership organization. During the past 20 years, ODVN has been leading our state's response to domestic violence through a host of initiatives and efforts to local domestic violence programs, allied professionals and local communities designed to enhance services, increase networking and communication, and facilitate and promote positive public policy.
